Andy Petrovich: President & CEO

 

Andy has nearly three decades of experience in the medical industry.

In 2000, he founded Surgical Operational Services, Inc. (SOSI), a sterile processing management outsourcing organization where he was a dedicated advocate for patient safety. He is an experienced strategist with a proven track record of helping strengthen hospital departments through operational leadership and a demonstrated ability to improve quality and enhance efficiency across many areas including clinical operations, logistics, training and personnel management.

Building upon that success and spotting a pressing need among customers, in 2004, Andy founded SurgiSource LLC, an ISO 13485 certified surgical instrument repair organization.

In 2011, Andy was Co-founder of Endoscopy Care Solutions, Inc., an ISO 13485 certified surgical rigid and flexible endoscopy repair service provider for the U.S. and international markets.

He is a member of the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM), and a voting member for the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), where he serves on a committee for developing national and global standards for Instructions for Reusable Devices (ST/WG12), Human Factors for Device Reprocessing (ST/WG85), and Cleaning of Reusable Medical Devices (ST/WG93).

Andy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business / Industrial Distribution from Eastern Michigan University, and began his career in the nuclear business sector prior to entering the medical field.

Andy and his amazing wife Carolyn live in the Atlanta area. They have three adult children and are members of North Point Community Church. He has coached men’s high school varsity lacrosse, participates with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Wounded Warrior Project.
